Building Engagement using Constituent Co-Design

Building with constituents can be as exciting and valuable as building for them – even more so. Set within effective framing with your alumni volunteers, the design process in itself can be an incredibly meaningful form of engagement. And help you build alumni programs with greater insights from your audience and an increased likelihood of relevance and success in your engagement efforts.

This session will explore constituent involvement in program co-design within the context of design thinking. As a growing practice in stakeholder engagement, it will provide an overview of the principles of design thinking, including co-creation, provide some examples of application in alumni and stakeholder engagement, and explore benefits and challenges. We will then consider how constituent engagement in design processes might take shape at your institution or organisation.
