Bridging Compassion and Care: How Social Enterprise is Transforming Veterinary Practice

When a group of Murdoch University veterinary alumni and professionals from different walks of life came together, they shared one vision — to strengthen the bond between animals and the people who care for them. The result was Veterinary and Community Care (VaCC), a social enterprise focused on community-centred veterinary care that looks beyond the animal to the human story behind every patient.

Among the founding members is Advfinity Associate Gerri Scott, who brings her passion for social impact through the Demeter Legacy Fund. Together, the VaCC team is creating new pathways to support pet owners facing vulnerability and the veterinary professionals who care for them.
